At its core, SLACN operates on a foundation of community-driven initiatives, seeking to uplift and enhance the well-being of individuals in its localities.
SLAC Uganda is a community-based organization founded in 2019 by William Prosper in Kagadi District in rural Western Uganda. The partner organization of the German n. e. V. bears the same name.
The western region of Uganda is mainly populated by subsistence farmers and characterized by extreme poverty. This poverty, although successfully reduced over the last twenty years, continues to define the lives of most residents.
There are proactive, community-minded individuals with a passion for social impact and sustainable development. They are looking for an organization that aligns with their values, focusing on breaking barriers, fostering empowerment, and creating lasting change.
